He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA), Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Corporate Secretaries of Sri Lanka (ACCS), Associate Member of Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation (ATII), and Fellow Member of the Institute of Certified Forensic & Fraud Auditors (IFA). He obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wayamba, Sri Lanka, and holding a B.Sc. (Business Administration) Special degree from the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura, Sri Lanka.

Mr. Kumara Bandara served in several professional committees over the past twenty-year period, and currently, he is the Vice President of the Institute of Certified Forensic and Fraud Auditors.

Mr. Kumara Bandara possesses a wide knowledge and experience over a period of twenty years and also specialized in advisory services such as system designing, investigations, compiling procedure manuals, feasibility reports, due diligence, business valuation, internal audit, costing, taxation, and corporate secretarial services.

His experience in leading audit engagements spans across a diverse range of sectors including Private Limited liability Companies, Proprietorships, Partnerships, Not-for-Profit Organizations, Clubs, and Associations. He has served as a Senior Lecturer in Costing, Business Administration, Taxation, and Financial Accounting at a leading private educational institute in Sri Lanka, during the past ten years.
